the deutsche volksbuehne, the new synagogue in Oranienstreet and just a decoration of a bridge

Berlin in March is rather cold, but still breathtaking. I was amazed at the grandiose city, the momentousness of the buildings and the vibrancy of the atmosphere

these are some building in Boston that are not "old" but try to preserve that style. I particularly love the stairway on the outside of the building.

I went to Boston over the weekend and it was great to be in an actual "city" again, despite the fact that it was cold....

Despite the fact that it may be redundant, I had to post this as well. I found it on the Bedlam of Beefy who, according to his post, found it on Black Eiffel's blog....

One of my most fabulous friends organized her books by color rather than alphabetically (how is that Foucault?)--so, I thought I would give it a try---unfortunately most of the books currently in my house are black or gray, very few oranges or reds....anyway, I am quite proud of myself, as I got a lot of work/reading done but was stunned by the age spots on the library book. It isn't even that old yet....I wonder if we are just merely "improperly stored" as well to acquire such "blemishes"....maybe good old Walt was on the right track?????

I have become obsessed with this kid mohair; I am indeed starting to wonder if it is the crafting/knitting process that I am interested in or whether I might just get the same kind of satisfaction from just having the wool laying around. Particularly frightening to me is the fact that I am actually attracted to that "baby pink"---to reduce the implications of me actually wearing such a color, I thought I would combine it with that more "orangy" tone.
